Background:
Against the backdrop of Chinese brands going global, cross-border e-commerce, and the worldwide expansion of tech-driven enterprises, an increasing number of manufacturers are entering international markets and competing on a global stage. However, beneath this surging wave of globalization, the industry at large faces a critical shortfall: insufficient intellectual property capabilities tailored for overseas operations. Most players in the global expansion space lack systematic overseas patent portfolio strategies, trademark registration, and copyright protection awareness, and have limited understanding of various countries' IP laws, examination rules, and enforcement systems. Issues such as overseas brand squatting, patent barriers, cross-border infringement complaints, and compliance disputes are becoming increasingly common—ranging from product delisting and store account suspensions to, in severe cases, heavy compensation liabilities and forced market exits. These challenges have become a core bottleneck constraining the steady and sustainable global expansion of Chinese enterprises.
Against this backdrop, IP Forefront New Media will host the IP Forefront Go-Global Forum in Shanghai on November 5–6
